Another one where I waited for the right round number to come around. Whereas the original comm was weekly, so this was their fourtieth week, we are monthly. This is our fourtieth month! Thank you all for participating here. <3

And here we are... Week 040! Wow time goes fast or is it just me?
I hope to see a lot of pretty icons to break another record of submission here on vgicontest. I know you all can make it. So to help a bit I'll give you more images for the image theme like I did on week 010. You have a lot to play with. Good luck and don't forget you can submit up to six icons!

» ORIGINAL RULES - for reference only
▫ You may submit up to six icons.
▫ You may combine the themes in a icon if you want.
▫ You may use only official images: official arts, screencaps, artbook scans, etc. No fanart is allowed.
▫ Icons must be freshly made for the contest.
▫ Icons should fit the LJ requirements: 100x100 pixels or less, less than 40kb, in .png, .gif or .jpg formats.

The original comm was restricted to video games sources - of course this does not apply here. Any fandoms (and stock) welcome. But in case you do like to icon video games to challenge yourself (or just because you love them <3), of course you're welcome to do so.

You can mix and match the themes however you like. The provided images are - just like the textures - allowed to be directly used in your icons. The original rules say that no fanart is allowed - this is still the case here, too. (Although some of the provided images above look awfully fanarty to me... I'll just assume they're not. See comments below, I've been assured they are all official art. I have no clue about video games, so wouldn't be able to tell either way.)

▫ you may enter as many icons as you like. minimum 1 icon.
▫ submit your icons as a new entry into the community. if there are more than five, put the rest under a cut or a link to your unlocked journal post. tag your post with round number and your username (or ask me to tag it for you).
▫ submit the URLs along with your icons. I'll only put the first five per person into the roundup post. Either you only list five, or I'll take the first five.
▫ make an effort to leave positive feedback on other participants' posts. <3

This comm generally runs from mid-month to mid-month every month, always ending on Fridays. There is no voting. I will make a roundup post containing up to 5 icons per person after every challenge.
